York based The Inhaler Tailor, as seen on BBC Dragons’ Den in the UK, and manufacturer of cases for medical inhalers to make them more appealing to carry and use, are proud to announce that prominent national asthma charity, Asthma Australia have placed a significant order following a successful trial, helping The Inhaler Tailor to grow overseas and find a way to support a charity doing such important work to improve asthma care.
The Inhaler Tailor has developed fun & colourful cases to go over inhalers that have been proven to increase adherence. 76% of users agree the cases encourage them to use their preventer inhaler more regularly. What’s more, 87% of customers agree they feel more confident using their inhaler and 99% agree the cases make the inhaler easier to find. The cases have been recognised as a break-through by the NHS, with several projects underway to provide cases directly to vulnerable children. The brand has also been featured on the UK’s Dragons’ Den and BBC Breakfast.
Harriet Hogge, Director at The Inhaler Tailor, responded, “We are thrilled that after a successful trial, Asthma Australia have just expanded their The Inhaler Tailor offering to now include Turbohaler cases, pouches and large bags! After selling out quickly from the first order. Not only does this meet our business goals of furthering our international expansion in 2026, but it also gives us huge personal satisfaction. Asthma Australia initially came across us on social media and asked for samples and promotional materials to share with the wider team. They all loved them. The CEO thought they were fabulous!”
“We’re always looking for ways to support people with asthma, particularly in overcoming barriers to using their medicines. Innovations like Inhaler Tailor covers can boost confidence and make it easier for people to carry and use their inhaler when they need it most. We’re proud to make them available to the Australian community through the Asthma Australia shop,” said CEO of Asthma Australia Kate Miranda.
The orders from Australia build on a successful 2025, where the products were also launched in Walmart and on Amazon in the US.
For 2026 the company is looking for further international expansion to help scale the business, including engaging in community projects, by encouraging respiratory professionals to be more aware that the cases exist, and suggest them to patients who may be struggling with inhaler acceptance / medication compliance.
1 in 11 UK children are being treated for asthma but around half of them do not take their preventer inhaler as often as they should. Here’s to more innovation, creativity, and helping people breathe a little easier literally!
