Medilink has partnered with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust on an initiative to stimulate innovation culture in existing hospitals and in preparation for new digital hospitals opening in 2026.
The agreement will see the Innovation Pop-up supporting Medilink members to develop collaborative projects with LTHT clinical staff, supported by the wider LTHT infrastructure, with the aim of translating new technologies towards clinical use. At the same time Medilink will make its specialist expertise available to innovation pop-up members and the wider LTHT community.
Medilink’s support will involve product advisory sessions where a broad range of innovation and commercialisation topics will be covered, including market opportunity analysis, design process, value proposition, clinical evidence generation plans and funding.
The company will also provide advice on international market access from a reimbursement and regulatory perspective.
For those wanting help with the marketing of their products or services, the Medilink team will also be providing marketing and communications support.
By centralising innovation activity at the trust, the initiative will connect clinical staff, partners and industry and further develop the innovation culture in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. It is hoped that this will also support economic recovery locally and encourage regional skills and talent.
