The Managing Director of Buckinghamshire and Yorkshire based Trio Healthcare, Lloyd Pearce has been shortlisted for a 2018 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Award in the Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year category.
Lloyd Pearce beat off some tough competition in order to make the regional shortlist, with a record number of businesses entering the awards nationally across the wide range of categories.
The Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognises individuals who have demonstrated tactical risk-taking for a worth-while cause.
Lloyd has dedicated the last 10 years at Trio Healthcare, developing and manufacturing a revolutionary technology in ostomy care industry and creating a better quality of life for patients.
The medical innovation organisation specialise in creating life-changing silicone adhesive against the odds, which prevents abdominal stomas from leaking and protects skin from damage. In an industry dominated by giant corporates, Trio Healthcare has been a market disruptor, driving and innovating for better clinical outcomes.
The Managing Director has played a crucial rule in understanding the clinical and psychological problems ostomates face, forming solutions and then translating these resolutions into innovative technology which improves patient care.
Not only does Lloyd have an abundance of entrepreneurial spirit, drive and tenacity, but his enthusiasm for using innovation to improve patients’ lives is infectious. His team mirror his style and passion for the business and this is another key factor in their success.
The Managing Director, who isn’t a fan of the spotlight, was unknowingly nominated for the Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year Award, by his colleague who realised he was the perfect candidate for the prestigious award.
